Examinations

The evaluation process for each course is described below.

Building Durable Houses

After two modules have been taught, an interim examination may be held in order to test the student’s understanding of the conveyed information, and identify any improvements in the training method.

At the end of the training, a final examination will be held, consisting of two parts; namely, parts A and B.  Part A will test the students’ understanding of critical information that can affect the safety of the occupants of the structures.  Part B will test the students’ understanding of information that can affect the post-construction maintenance requirements of the structure.

The pass grade for part A is 100%.  The pass grade for part B is 80%.  Students are required to pass both parts in order to qualify for a Certificate of Competence, otherwise, they will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Those in the Construction industry can receive their professional certification by passing both parts of the final examination, and an inspection of an active construction site where they were responsible for supervising the construction activities.
